UNIQUE ISA Protect is sending data, which was received on the Microsoft ISA Server 2006, to the Symantec Antivirus Scan Engine, Version 5.x in order to perform virus checking.
The http protocol is supported by the UNIQUE ISA Protect. The ISA filter guarantees virus protection performed by the Symantec Antivirus Scan Engine Version 5.x. The console is integrated with a Snap-In in the Microsoft ISA Management Console.

The very low overhead does not have a favourable effect on the entire HTTP traffic during the virus check and the end user doesn t notice anything.
The reason is that the requested data is transmitted only partly to the  Symantec Antivirus Scan Engine and then to the browser. Infected or suspicious files will be blocked instantly and the download will not take place. So there won´t be no infected files left on the server.
